After officiating the ceremonies for two of his children, Jay decided that the joy of bringing two hearts together is worth creating a new vocation. Jay brings a wide range of background, skills and theatrics to his wedding officiating. His first career was in education as a Special Education teacher and administrator. Eventually he found his way back to construction as he developed his own Design/Build firm, producing one of a kind homes first in Virginia and then Upstate New York. He managed construction projects for the University at Albany for eleven years before retiring to St. Augustine, Florida.
While developing his craft Jay also played guitar and flute and sang in several bands from Virginia to New York. In addition to playing and singing in various bands, Jay has performed in numerous Community Theater productions in the Capital District.
Jay’s stage presence, creativity, and melodic tenor voice all lend themselves perfectly towards guiding couples along on their matrimonial journey.
Jay is ordained through the American Marriage Ministries.
